Central Park Rotunda

The Rotunda in Central Park in Bourke is over 100 years old.
The centenary of the rotunda was celebrated during Bourke's 1998 Mateship Festival. After consultation with Bourke Shire Council's Heritage Architect, an upgrade was carried out including replacing foundation piers and painting the facility in heritage colours. The rotunda has played a significant part in Bourke's history, having been the venue for outdoor concerts, band recitals, meetings and romantic rendezvous over its 105 years. A plaque was unveiled during the festival to mark the occasion.
